Our June speaker is Ashli Montgomery of Quilt 2 End ALZ, Inc, a non-profit organization connecting quilters with the fight to end Alzheimer’s. She runs her own business, teaches in person and can also be found on her YouTube channel, just to name a few places!

According to Ashli, the mission at Quilt 2 End ALZ is to connect quilters with the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease. “The more quilters we reach, the more education, support, and awareness we create. We are quilting to mend the mind, and we’d love for you to join us!”

Quilt 2 End ALZ, Inc. offers many opportunities to be involved with fellow quilters.

There is a free Block of the Month program. The pattern is called “Sugar & Spice” and is a fun, modern take on a classic sampler quilt. Sign up by email to participate.

On the web site, you’ll also have the chance to join the monthly membership, The Q2EA Clubhouse, a program that gives members access to an exclusive library of video tutorials, free pattern and project downloads, and a community of fellow quilters committed to the fight to #ENDALZ.

Morning Presentation

Ashli’s talk is a unique combination of lecture and trunk show, lasting 30-45 minutes with time for Q&A, and focus on three key topics:

  • What is Alzheimer’s disease, and what can we do about it?
  • How is Q2EA using quilting as a platform to encourage, educate, and support our quilting community as advocates to end ALZ?
  • Who can get involved, and how do we help?

The trunk show highlights projects that our Q2EA family has created over the years as well as current fundraising projects.
