April 2021 Meeting

  • Date: April 17, 2021
  • Program: Members’ Destash Bash with a side of Facebook
  • Location: Countryside Christian Church*, 1919 S. Rock Rd.  Wichita; located on the west side of Rock Road, a couple blocks south of Harry Street – more details at bottom of this post

• Destash Bash:

destash: verb. To remove (thread, fabric, equipment, etc.) from one’s collection.

Start spring cleaning those sewing rooms, closets, boxes, totes, and everywhere else we stash our stuff ( or stuff our stash). We’re setting up a trade/donate/sell table. Mark each item with your name and price, and have fun with your fellow guild members.

Bring your quilts for Show and Share.

• KLQ Facebook:  Sondra Davison is going to present our new public and group Facebook pages and help members learn to get social.

• Raffle tickets:  Tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for only $5. Bring a visitor and you both get one free ticket!

Board Member Openings: Now’s your chance to get involved and have a bigger say on upcoming events. We have two Member at Large positions available on our Board.

* We will meet in the church coffee shop, and there are plenty of tables that are set far apart for comfortable social distancing. Coffee, tea, and water will be provided.  Wearing a mask is a personal choice at the church. Upon arrival at the church, enter through the second set of doors on the south side of the building. If you are unsure as to where to park/enter, call Anita Brozik or Linda Argo (phone numbers are in your KLQ newsletter from Anita).
